JUNE

BUSINESS AFTER HOURS

Hosted by The Artisits Mall of Walker, June 21, 2007, 5-7 P.M. Please join us for a wonderful, fun evening after a hard day of Crazy Daze. Marcy Hanson will show us around her new location, it is just a fantastic store. Come out and let's talk about what's happening with all of our business opportunities in Walker and at Resorts.

COOKBOOK COMMITTEE

The Cookbook's are here and out in store's and resorts on sale. If you have reserved cookbooks at the Chamber please come and pick them up, they are in high demand and are a very easy sale. The cookbooks sell for $10.00 each. We need to thank Muggs Trimble & Vonnie Beckman for all of there hard work. There were other helpers with delivery and collecting recipe's. This is a Chamber Fund Raiser. Thank you to everyone that has participated in the cookbook program.

PARKING DOWNTOWN WALKER

It's that time of year when parking is limited to our customer's. Please take into consideration the respect of other business owners not to park in front of there store's all day. Please let's work together and have your employee's park not in the prime 2hr. spots. We all need the visitor's to shop Walker, they get angry when there is no available parking. We want them here not in another town. Please try to work this out.

MILITARY APPRECIATION

VACATIONS

Our resorts and accommodations committee is offering over 200 free vacations this summer and fall. They are making 200 hand out bags for the families. They need help filling them with gifts or gift certificates, coupons, or something for the families. We have Hardee's certificates and Dairy Queen Certificate's so far. If you can help please drop something at the Chamber office.

WALKER'S FOURTH OF JULY FIREWORKS

For many years the Walker Lions Club has been in charge of the Fourth of July Fireworks which entails ordering the fireworks, procuring insurance and raising money to pay for the fireworks. We need all local businesses and resort owners to support the annual fundraising effort to keep the traditional Fourth of July fireworks display among the day's activities. If you are one of the past supporters, the Walker Lions thanks you and asks for your continuing support. Please join the community wide effort to keep this tradition alive.
